Franny and Zooey (2007)
Franny and Zooey was born out of the challenge to be as transparent as possible about the creative process. Making the work not as a representation of something but rather as the thing itself. Franny and Zooey makes the audience hyper aware of their physical presence in the theatre and their role as voyeur by bringing to the foreground the space and time gap between the process and the moment of performance. A formally simple yet raw exploration that reveals through the exposed performing bodies something deeply hidden in the memory of the skin.

Franny and Zooey premiered April 25th-28th, 2007 at The Nothing Festival at Dance Theatre Workshop.
Franny and Zooey was originally commissioned by the Bessie Schoenberg/First Light Commissioning Program of Dance Theater Workshop with support from the Jerome Foundation of St. Paul, MN. It was made possible in part by DTW's Outer/Space Residency.
